Responsible for growing sales and increasing Company profits primarily by recruiting new customers. Execute our sales process and effectively communicate value proposition to targeted prospects.

  • Grow sales and increase company profits primarily by recruiting new customers. For this position we are looking for a “hunter,” not a “farmer.”
  • Find and develop leads for new business. Will require a significant amount of prospecting work.
  • Use your machining background to develop relationships with prospects and customers, gaining an understanding of their specific business needs.
  • Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources, ensuring a good fit between the prospect and our business model.
  • Gain sufficient technical knowledge of our machining and process capabilities to be able to determine the degree of fit between prospects and the company. Execute a consultative sales approach, selling value, not just price.
  • Effectively communicate Company’s value proposition.
  • Effectively execute each stage of our sales process, including keeping all information in the CRM database accurate and current.
  • Work well with internal resources in Estimating, Engineering, Quality, and Production to onboard new business as quickly as possible.
  • Eventually, partner with current customers to understand their needs and generate additional sales.
  • Own and resolve customer issues to complete resolution, working with the Account Manager to drive complete customer satisfaction.
  • Make use of problem solving/decision making skills to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.


  • Strongly preferred: background in CNC machining or other custom manufacturing, high-SKU-mix type of business
  • Preferred: Minimum three to five years of experience in industrial, B2B sales, primarily cultivating new business
  • Proactive self-starter, energetic, dependable and efficient; able to work independently with little supervision
  • Proven experience in getting results (both top-line sales and margin)
  • Proven experience in following a sales process, leading to a track record of growing sales and increasing profits
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced computer user – MS Office suite; ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, etc.); CRM systems
  • Able to work with and through other functional areas to serve our customer
  • Adaptable to a changing and growing business; comfortable with a bit of “organized chaos”
