ASSEMBLER in QP

JOB SUMMARY

Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Performs various assembly operations by placing parts in specified blueprint relationship to each other.

*Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.

*Operates machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening

  operations.

*Works at different work stations on various assembly tasks as production needs require.

*May be required to train new and existing employees on assembly procedures and processes as needed.

*Identifies and reports problems with assembly, tooling or material shortages to supervisor.

*Works at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and

  passing unit to another worker or specified department or storage area when completed.

*May be required to do product testing when instructed.  (i.e. on hydraulic and electrical, etc..)

*Relies on specific instructions and pre-existing guidelines to perform functions of the job.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

*2-3 years related work experience with assembly operations.

*High school diploma preferred or equivalent

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

*Ability to work independently.

*Strong emphasis to quality and accuracy.

*Good  working knowledge of assembly procedures and processes.

*Ability to interpret and comprehend simple oral and written instructions.

*Knowledge of production and quality standards.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

*Regularly required to sit or stand the duration of 8-10 hour shift daily.

*Occasionally required to bend, crouch, kneel or bend.

*Regularly required to perform repetitive operations of assembly daily

*Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 or corrected vision to

  20/20 vision is required for accuracy and completion of the assembly product.

*Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.

*Regularly may lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Pre-employment:  Vision Test, background check, drug screen, mini physical
